There will be a ceremony Thursday morning in Dallas to remember the five officers killed six years ago today.

On July 7th in 2016, a gunman opened fire in downtown Dallas during a civil rights march.

A DART officer and four Dallas Police officers were killed.

Dallas Police Chief Eddie Garcia says his officers remember their fallen comrades every day by showing up for work and defending the people of Dallas.

There will be a wreath-laying ceremony this morning, mainly intended for Dallas police and the loved ones of the five officers who died.
