On Saturday, the Dallas Police Department's Office of Community Affairs provided free laundry services and care packages to those whose lives were impacted by Hurricane Ida.
Other members of the community, who also needed the assistance, were welcomed as well.
The department is planning on having another community laundry day, which is already scheduled to take place later this month.
