Dallas Police searching for devastating hit-and-run suspect

Dallas Police are asking for help finding a hit and run driver who dragged a woman on Christmas Eve.

"We're really going to ask for everyone's assistance on this one," officer Brian Martinez said.

The incident happened on Christmas Eve around 10 a.m. Police say a driver in a dark colored SUV hit a woman walking in a crosswalk at 300 W. Jefferson Boulevard at Bishop Avenue.

"The victim was dragged for a significant distance and then left in the street as the driver fled eastbound," officer Martinez said.

The woman ended up surviving the incident. She's currently in the hospital and there is no word on what kind of condition she's in.
