With temperatures expected to plummet over the weekend non-profits are joining forces with the City of Dallas to make sure no one gets left in the cold.

Cold weather can get dangerous quick especially if you’re homeless. That’s why the City of Dallas is partnering with OurCalling, The Salvation Army and several local churches to provide warming shelters ahead of this weekend’s temperature drop.

Pastor Wayne Walker, the CEO of OurCalling, says people checking into the warming stations will be checked for COVID symptoms. If you want to help this weekend, Pastor Walker says one of the best things you can do is download the OurCalling app and report any homeless camps you see so they know where to send help.
