Police say it happened across the street from Spruce High School on Old Seagoville Road around 4:30 in the afternoon.
Dallas police say someone in a car opened fire, shooting the teen. The victim was transported to the hospital, and police say he's in stable condition. No word what led up to that shooting, and police have not made an arrest.
The Dallas School District says all games and practices scheduled for Tuesday evening at Spruce High School are cancelled and will be rescheduled for Thursday.
The district also says it will provide more details once they become available.
