With the CDC giving limited approval to a third-dose of the Coronavirus vaccines, Denton County will be offering the shot at its vaccination clinic.
Denton County Public Health made the announcement Saturday, the day after the CDC recommended that those with moderate to severe immuno-compromised systems get the third shot.
To qualify, the patient must have received the two required doses of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines.
The conditions which make a patient eligible include receiving cancer treatment for tumors or cancers of the blood, having received an organ transplant with the past two years and taking medications to suppress the immune system, moderate to severe primary immuno-deficiency, advance or untreated HIV infection or treatment with corticosteroids that may suppress one's immune system.
