A Denton man has now admitted he killed his infant son three years ago. A jury will now decide his punishment.
The jury has a range of five years to life with the possibility of parole for 26-year-old Emilio Morales. Just before his murder trial was to begin, Morales pleaded guilty to killing his 7-month-old son Max in his Denton home.
Police say Morales used a closed fist to hit the baby in the head, causing fatal injuries. Police and paramedics were sent to Morales' home near Teasley and Hickory Creek for a non-responsive baby. But they say by the time they got there the infant had already died.
