The unit recorded four takeaways on the night, including cornerback Trevon Diggs' league-leading ninth interception of the season, which came in the final minutes of the fourth quarter. Diggs was on track to break Night Train Lane's record-14 interceptions earlier this season, but he has since fallen off the pace.

Additionally, those four interceptions are the most the team has had in a single game since a Week 13 game against Indianapolis in 2010, according to Cowboys PR.

The key plays weren't limited to just takeaways, as the man at the center of creating a bunch of havoc on the defensive line was at it again on Thursday night. Cowboys rookie linebacker Micah Parsons' tenth sack of the season came at a critical moment in the game, as it knocked the Saints out of field-goal range early in the fourth quarter with the Cowboys leading 20-10.

With that sack, Parsons is the 13th rookie linebacker in NFL history to have at least ten sacks in his rookie season.

The 22-year-old now has sacks in five straight games for the Cowboys and is the first rookie to accomplish that feat since Joey Bosa did it with the San Diego Chargers in 2016.
