A real-life “Homeward Bound” situation in Denton, and it's got the same happy ending.

A video posted by the City of Denton of a dog reuniting with its owner after more than six months apart has gone viral.

Chase went missing from his owner Hubert back in November.

"There's really no telling what he was up to for those six or seven months," said Craig Turner, with Denton Animal Services. "Aside from surviving."

On April 29th, Craig found the missing pup and was able to bring him to the shelter. From there, kennel tech Misha Gonzales says it actually didn’t take long to find his owner, Hubert. Cue the tearful reunion.

In a video capturing the moment, Chase is seen running into his owner's arms and licking his face while Hubert cries tears of joy.

"He is really embarrassed about everybody seeing him bawling ... like, ugly cry," Misha said. "I reassured him not to be embarrassed. That was pure, genuine love for your dog. The world is ugly crying with you."
