Police are still investigating a catastrophic crash in Hutchins over the weekend.
On Saturday night police say a compact car rear-ended a box truck on south-bound I-45 near Dowdy Ferry Road, leaving the car wedged underneath the truck.
Hutchins firefighters worked for more than an hour to pry the driver out of the mangled wreckage.
Careflite rushed the driver to Baylor hospital but no condition has been released. It's not yet clear why the car was unable to stop to avoid the collision.
