The driver who crashed a stolen SUV into the Royse City Buc-ee's will be under mental evaluation after being sent to a state mental health hospital in northeast Texas.
On New Years Day, police reports say the SUV was stolen in Richardson where the driver walked away from a mental evaluation.
Police chased him for quite awhile until he took the Royse City Buc-ee's exit off I-30 and crashed into the store, leaving a trail of broken glass and merchandise in the store. Fortunately, no one was hurt.
The suspect was quickly arrested and immediately assigned to another mental health evaluation.
Despite the damage, the store has remained open.
