An elderly man is dead in Dallas and police have arrested the driver that caused the fatal crash in Pleasant Grove over the weekend.
Dallas police say a man was driving his pick-up truck very fast on Buckner Boulevard near Cordell when a truck-and-trailer made a left turn onto Cordell.
The man driving the truck, identified by police as 19-year-old Juan Segura-Mendez crashed into the trailer, swinging it around into the elderly victim who was in a motorized wheelchair.
The wheelchair was then knocked into a car parked at the stop sign. The victim did not survive.
Segura-Mendez was arrested and charged with intoxicated manslaughter. He is also on an immigration hold at the Dallas County jail.
