The FAA reports it has received more than 3,800 reports of unruly airline passengers since the first of the year. And the administration is ramping up its PR offensive to combat a problem that pilots and flight attendants have been complaining about since the beginning of the Coronavirus outbreak.

The FAA is increasingly employing a social media campaign using memes to communicate its message.

One meme shows two characters from the movie Fight Club sitting on a plane. The caption says: "The second rule of Fight Club is to not fight on a plane. The FAA has zero tolerance for not following crew instructions."

In a second approach, the FAA is using a video showing children saying things like "they should know better if they're adults" and they "have to play a good role model."
