Cool mornings and warm afternoons will continue through the end of the week, but by Friday evening, a cold front will move through the area giving us a glancing blow of some cooler air for the weekend. A quick warm-up will arrive next week with a chance for showers and thunderstorms.

There's not a lot going on Wednesday morning as temperatures fell into the 50s to low 60s once again. The skies are clear and the winds are light. Plenty of sunshine Wednesday with afternoon highs in the middle 80s once again. Wednesday night, it won't be as cool with readings raging between 59 and 64 degrees. It will be sunny and a bit warmer Thursday and Friday with highs in the mid to upper 80s.

By Friday night, a cold front will move through the area but unfortunately, it will not produce any rain. It will cool temperatures down into the 50s for Saturday morning. Afternoon highs will only be around 80 degrees. The kickoff temperature for the Texas-OU game will be around 71 degrees.

This cold front lifts back to the north on Sunday with highs back in the low to mid-80s. There is a very slight chance of some showers developing just northwest of DFW late Sunday and Monday. Right now, I'm not putting it in my forecast, but this is subject to change. Afternoon highs on Monday will reach the middle 80s. Tuesday looks dry with highs in the mid to upper 80s. By Wednesday and Thursday, a chance for showers and thunderstorms returns with high temperatures in the 80s.
