The Terminal D garage at DFW Airport has been temporarily closed due to a small fire.
The airport is asking that people avoid the garage for now. While the fire is under control, the parking lot remains closed for both incoming or outgoing traffic. However, it is available for drop-off traffic.
They have requested that if you plan to travel out of Terminal D tonight, you park in another garage and "take our Terminal Link shuttles or rideshare services to Terminal D to check in. International customers can check in at D30, domestic customers can check in at D18."
For those arriving in Terminal D, there are people working on the scene who will be able to alert you when your parked vehicle will be accessible. Those of you in urgent need of transportation will need to make other arrangements.
According to NBCDFW, the airport has not reported any injuries and the cause of the fire has not been revealed.
