39 year old David Schoolcraft was a Denton cop for 15 years, until he was arrested last year on child pornography charges. He's pleaded guilty to possessing and trading child pornography online and has been sentenced to 10 years and one month in federal prison.
The US attorney for the Eastern District of Texas said as a cop he violated his oath of office to keep the community safe, adding she hopes this sentence sends a message that that sort of behavior will not be tolerated in Texas.
