Fire has destroyed a northwest Dallas building that once housed a notorious porn business. The massive fire gutted the former Zone d’Erotica on Anaheim Drive near the interchange of Interstate 635 LBJ and Interstate 35E.
Black smoke could be seen for miles as the flames chewed through the building, which has been vacant for some time. Commanders opted to battle the blaze from the outside and it was a good decision because the roof collapsed.
The cause of the fire is listed as "undetermined." In the 90s and early 2000s, Zone d'Erotica was known for renting private rooms for watching pornography. As recently as five years ago, Dallas Fire-Rescue found a number of fire code violations throughout the building.
