A congressional commission has made some recommendations to change the names of nine Army bases around the country. Right now, they're all named for Confederate generals.

The list to change the names includes Fort Hood in Texas.

The panel wants to rename it, Fort Cavazos, in honor of General Richard Cavazos from Kingsville. He served in the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
The commission also plans to rename Fort Bragg in North Carolina to Fort Liberty.

Another Texan could be honored as Fort Gordon in Georgia would be renamed for President Dwight Eisenhower from Denison.
