The Fort Worth Food & Wine Festival is returning to Edwards Ranch this weekend. The festival has been canceled because of the pandemic over the past two years.
"We've done abbreviated versions, we've done some events here and there, but this is finally getting back to the original time in the spring out at Edwards Ranch," said Chef Jon Bonnell, who owns several restaurants in Fort Worth and is on the festival's advisory board. "It's going to be a blast."

More than 7,000 people are expected to attend over the next four days. Through Thursday, at least two events had already sold out.
"To see faces again, outdoors, lots of them, beer, wine, liquor, all the different chefs. Everybody is excited to get back out for the food and wine festival," Bonnell said. "It's going to be the best ever."
Even with cancellations, organizers of the Fort Worth Food & Wine Festival say they have given $113,315 in grants of about $500 to 254 restaurant employees to help them pay bills during the pandemic.
Since 2013, the festival has raised $325,000 for culinary scholarships.
