A Fort Worth man who killed his wife and infant son five years ago will die in prison.
The jury found 40-year old Craig Vandewege guilty of capital murder in the deaths of wife Shanna and son Diederik. Both were found dead in their Fort Worth home in 2016, each had their throats slashed.

The sentence of life without parole was automatic.
It was Vandewege who called 911 and reported he had found the bodies of the two and that his home looked like a burglary.
Police determined the scene had been staged.
Vandewege was arrested several days later, speeding through Colorado. Prosecutors told the jury he was on the run by then. The motive? He stood to collect more than $700,000 in life insurance.
