Fort Worth Mayor Parker wins reelection with big majority vote, other area officials keep seats

Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker won reelection on Saturday.

Reports from election officials say she got nearly 70 percent of the vote to defeat four challengers.

Arlington Mayor Jim Ross also won another term, but by a much smaller margin. He got slightly more than 51 percent of the vote to defeat Amy Cearnal (Kernel).

Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson easily won reelection. His only challenger was a write-in candidate.

Frisco Mayor Jeff Cheney was elected to a third term in office.
