Fort Worth police are releasing doorbell and body cam video showing the moments when a man opened fire on police who wounded him by return fire last week.

In releasing the video, Fort Worth Assistant Police Chief Robert Alldredge says they got a call from Hector Galvan's sister at her home in the South Hills neighborhood. She said Galvan had pulled a pistol while they were arguing about something.

Police arrived at the home on Odessa Avenue only to find Galvan had already left. They found him on the next block but he took off running and one officer tried to stop him with a Tazer. But that didn't work.

However, Galvan tripped and when he hit the ground, he pulled the pistol and fired at the officer with the Tazer. That officer pulled his own pistol and fired twice.

Galvan was wounded and was taken to the hospital. But he's now been released and was booked into the Tarrant County jail on charges of aggravated assault against a family member and against a police officer.
