A Fort Worth convenience store clerk is in the hospital after being wounded in a late night shooting.

Fort Worth Police say just before midnight, a 9-1-1 call came in from a store manager who said his employee had just been shot at a Valero store on Trinity Boulevard about a half-mile west of Highway 360 in far northeast Fort Worth.

The victim's condition has not been released.

Police believe the clerk was in the line of fire when gunfire erupted in the parking lot where at least two people were quarreling. The plate glass storefront was shattered where the bullet came through. The shooter got away.

The Fort Worth Police Gun Violence Unit is leading the investigation.
