Two-year-old Milania Pierite died at Cook Children's last night just before 8 p.m. She was rushed to the hospital Tuesday night after her family's pick-up rolled over a guardrail on I-20 near Highway 360. The truck had been rear-ended by a Grand Prairie man named Tyler Hampton who was jailed on multiple counts of intoxicated assault.
With Milania's death, the charges will most likely be upgraded. Milania's parents and four-year-old sister were hurt in the crash but their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, although her dad's leg was badly broken.
