A woman and three men are in custody in connection with an ambush robbery in Fort Worth late last month, while a fourth man is still on the loose.

Police say Briyana Brooks, 21, met a Dallas man on social media; and, on March 29th, invited him to her apartment on Berry St.

"Once inside the apartment, he was ambushed by four black males," said Fort Worth Police Det. Brian Raynsford. "The victim was then beaten and bound and robbed at gunpoint."

The robbers forced him to give them his ATM PIN number, and they used that information to buy items at a convenience store with his debit card.

The robbers didn't stop there.

"They forced the victim to divulge his home address, which he did," Raynsford said. "And three of the suspects then took the victim's car and drove to Dallas."

The victim was held in the apartment for several hours before being let out in the parking lot of a Fort Worth hospital at around 4:00 p.m. that afternoon.

At around 6:30 that night, Direct Response Unit officers spotted the victim's stolen car and, following a brief chase, arrested two of the suspects - Corey McKnight, 22; and Tkyren James, 18.

A third suspect inside that car escaped and is still on the loose.

The other two suspects were arrested in Tyler in the ensuing days.

"Briyana Brooks and Colby Sanders (21) are currently in custody in the Smith County Jail in Tyler, awaiting extradition back to Tarrant County," Raynsford said. "All four (suspects) are charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated kidnapping, and Tkyren James has an additional charge of evading arrest or detention using a motor vehicle."

The suspect still at large is estimated to be between 18 and 25 years old.

Anyone with any information on who he is and where he may be is asked to call 817-392-4469.

"They hatched a very dangerous plan," Raynsford said. "It became a violent plan. It could have gone even farther; but fortunately, it did not."
