If you need or want a free Christmas tree -- here's your chance in Grapevine.
Friday night is the final excursion of the Grapevine Vintage Railroad’s North Pole Express, where dozens of evergreens are part of the Snowy Christmas Forest.
After it's all over tonight at about 10 p.m., the trees will be given away on a first-come-first-serve basis.
They'll be set up in the parking lot behind the CM Millican Blacksmithing shop near South Main and Hudgins. That's right adjacent to the Grapevine Vintage Railroad station.
You need to come prepared with your own rope to tie the tree down. Or bring a pick-up or trailer to haul it. And, of course, it's going to be cold -- so be prepared for that, too
