A family has a lot of clean-up and repair ahead because of Sunday's house fire in northwest Frisco.
About 4 p.m. firefighters were called to a two-story home near Brazoria Road and Little Ranch Road. They found smoke already jetting from the roof.
Inside, they learned the fire began in the garage and quickly moved up into the attic. Commanders called a second alarm to bring in more manpower as temperatures hovered in the upper 90s.
Fortunately, the winds were fairly light at the time. The family in the home were not hurt. But two firefighters were taken to the hospital to be treated for heat stress. The fire was out by early Sunday evening. The cause has not been determined.
