Frisco is one of the fastest-growing school districts in Texas, but as the district plans for the future, some parents are upset.
The Frisco ISD board has unanimously approved new attendance zones that'll move 2,000 kids to new or different schools. Some parents and students spoke against the plan during the meeting, with some even walking out.

Deputy superintendent Todd Fouche says Frisco ISD has had to rezone 17 of the past 20 years. He says the district has heard community feedback and tried to draw zones down major roads to avoid splitting up neighborhoods.
Frisco ISD says re-zoning will affect just three percent of students and parents are getting emails on how to ask for an exception if they have older siblings at the same school.
