Frisco police are warning people about a new theft trend they call "jugging," and it's a crime that's on the rise.
Police say bank jugging is when criminals watch customers conduct business at a bank, and then follow them looking for an opportunity to break into their car looking for cash.
Police are advising people to always monitor their surroundings and conceal money or bank bags before leaving the bank.
They also remind people to never leave money or bank bags unattended in a vehicle, even if for a quick stop or while parked at home.
Frisco police say they have already responded to 23 reports related to bank jugging.
