Frisco realtor Jennifer Ryan will be sentenced today for her role in the January 6th insurrection at the US Capitol.

Jennifer Ryan pleaded guilty to a charge of parading through the US Capitol building. She is hoping to avoid jail time, but the federal government is recommending 60-days. The charge carries a maximum 6-months.

In court documents concerning the sentencing, federal prosecutors say Ryan was seen in videos and photographs inside the capitol.

Ryan, who famously bragged on social media how she was taking a private plane to Washington DC to take part in the insurrection, posted a picture of her outside the US Capitol building, in front of a broken window on the day of the riots. A caption posted with the picture read: “Window at the capital. And if the news doesn’t stop lying about us we’re going to come after their studios next.”

The court papers say Ryan was heard shouting "fight for Trump" and that she left because police had begun using pepper spray. Also federal prosecutors say Ryan was actually advertising her real estate business during the insurrection from inside the Capitol.

In the last few weeks, at least one of the federal judges has complained that the Justice Department is allowing plea deals that may be too leinient but that their hands are tied by the deals.
