Fort Worth police officer arrested, accused of domestic violence

FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD)- A Fort Worth police officer finds himself on the other side of the law.

Cpl. James Howard was arrested Sunday in Rio Grande County, Colorado on allegations of domestic violence that allegedly occurred while he was off-duty.

Howard has been with the Fort Worth Police Department for 26 years and had been assigned to the weapons range.

He is now on restricted duty and has been stripped of all police powers as criminal and administrative investigations move forward.
