Yet another Fort Worth police officer finds himself on the other side of the law.

The latest one to be arrested is Raymond Lara.

The department's Special Investigations Unit took him into custody Thursday on a charge of continuous sexual abuse of a young child and booked him into jail without incident.

The investigation started back on Nov. 2, when the department responded to a reported sexual assault of a child.

Once the department learned that Ofc. Lara was the suspect, it immediately placed him on restricted duty and stripped him of all of his police powers.

Lara has been on the force for three years and is assigned to the Central Patrol Division.
