Grand Prairie Police have arrested a man in the murder of a woman he used to date.
Police were asked to do a welfare check at a home on Saturday evening in the 1400 block of N. State Highway 360 and found a woman with lacerations on her body. 51-year-old Sabrina Freeman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say 53-year-old Samuel Wilson walked into the city's Public Safety Building on Sunday and surrendered.
Detectives say the two used to date, and they're investigating the case as a family violence-related homicide. So far there's no motive.
Wilson is being held in the Grand Prairie Detention Center on a murder charge with his bond set at $1,000.000.00.
