A fast-moving grass fire is out in Denton where firefighters were called out yesterday when flames erupted along Loop 288 near University Drive.
Fire crews got out there to find the fire was burning right up to the edge of the freeway with the flames whipped by winds gusting up close to 30 mph.
Low humidity didn't help either. But fire crews got right on it and kept the burned over area to about four acres.
