Two people are in the hospital after a man and Dallas police engaged in a gunbattle a few blocks from Fair Park Sunday night.
Reports say Dallas Police got a call about a man with a gun on Metropolitan Avenue. The caller said the gunman and another man had been quarreling.
When officers arrived, just as they were approaching, the man he opened fire.
Police returned fire, wounding the gunman and one uninvolved bystander.
The gunman was transported to a local hospital and is listed in critical condition. The other victim is listed as stable. No officers were hurt.
