The well-known H-E-B grocery chain is stretching out its investment in North Texas. It's announced a new concept store for a couple of neighborhoods in Dallas.

H-E-B is more than just a regular grocery store. It just opened its first North Texas locations in Frisco and Plano. It has others on the way in McKinney, Allen, Mansfield, and a second location in Frisco.

Now, H-E-B is bringing another side hustle to Dallas. It's planning a couple of Joe V's Smart Shops.

The first one in south Dallas will go up on West Wheatland next year. The second Joe V's will be opening in spring of 2025 in East Dallas on Buckner Boulevard at Samuell, just south of I-30.

Joe V's is a more discounted version of the H-E-B stores with in-store meats, produce, and organic foods.

“With the introduction of Joe V’s Smart Shop to Dallas, we are excited to build on our longstanding presence in the area and commitment to serve more customers in this dynamic and growing part of Texas,” said Roxanne Orsak, H-E-B Chief Operating Officer. “As a multi-format retailer, we have developed a variety of brands and formats to best serve our customers across the state.”

These North Texas locations will be the first Joe V's stores outside of the Houston area.
