North Texas is still under an excessive heat warning through Wednesday this week. That's causing some problems for people working outside, like our First Responders.
On Ask the Expert, Matt Zavadsky from MedStar in Fort Worth joined the KRLD Afternoon News. He tells Kristin Diaz and Austin York how his crews prepare to respond to heat related calls as well as what they encounter when they arrive to assist others.
He shares how patients associated with heat-related calls are usually under three catergories: the homeless, the poor or elderly who try to avoid high electricity bills by not running the air conditioning or do not have working a.c.s and or kids that overheat quickly while playing outside.
