Hurst police say a woman is dead as a result of a road rage shooting incident

HURST (1080 KRLD)- The Hurst Police Department is investigating a road rage shooting incident that left one woman dead Monday evening.

According to police, officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of West Hurst Blvd around 9:18 p.m. Monday and found a 37-year-old woman now identified as Paola Nunez Linares with a gunshot wound to the head. Her husband reported that they had been driving northbound on East Loop 820 when they were involved in a road rage incident with another vehicle.

The unidentified person in the other vehicle proceeded to shoot at the couple several times striking the woman. Paramedics at the scene transported her to JPS Hospital where she was later pronounced dead as a result of her injury.

Police are looking for any information that may lead them to the suspect. The suspect vehicle is described as a "small, dark-colored older model car."
