Great news for a Dallas Fireman Tuesday, Ronald Hall got to go home.
Hall and three others from Dallas fire rescue were responding to a gas leak at the Highland Hills apartments in late September. He remembers feeling uneasy about the amount of gas in the building they were inspecting, and told fellow officer Pauline Perez, who he calls the rookie, to get out, just seconds before the blast.
The explosion blew the three officers back and almost completely destroyed the building.
Hall suffered burns and a severely broken leg. After over a month in the hospital and rehab facility, he was finally released.
Despite more surgeries lined up for his severely broken leg, Hall is optimistic about the future and calls everyday a blessing.
On November 5, 2021, The Assist the Officer Foundation of Dallas is hosting a Frito Chili Pie and Bake Sale fundraiser benefiting Captain Christopher Gadomski, Driver Engineer Ronald Hall, Officer Pauline Perez and Officer Andrew Curtis.
