Grand Prairie fire investigators now confirm Monday's house fire on Mirado Street was, in fact, caused by lightning.
Officials say the fire broke out in a two-story home near Joe Pool Lake during a thunderstorm and some neighbors were pretty sure it was ignited by lightning.
Now, the Grand Prairie Fire Department says in a statement "the house had been struck by lightning during the storm. No injuries were reported."
