It is night in Kyiv and Irving lawyer Tom Sanchez is not sure what to expect. As he looks out his 5th-floor apartment window there are people on the street. So far there has been no run on cash or food. Yet with conflicting reports about an invasion he has no idea what the next hour will bring.

"You've got your eyeballs turned to one side to see if anything comes up and surprises you," Sanchez said. "And you do have a little backpack with your passport and your couple rolls of toilet paper and lots of underwear and a flashlight that you go to sleep with."

He says they are getting news reports from CNN which is saying the Russians claim to be moving back....but he's seen other stories with British prime minister Boris Johnson saying there is no sign of deescallation. He's believing Johnson.
