Following criticism from the Dallas police chief, mayor, DA, and even the governor, a judge has decided to raise a murder suspects bail, even after she lowered it.

Julio Guerrero was arrested last June after police say he shot and killed a man for bumping into him at a club. Days later, police said Guerrero shot a three-year-old girl in the head during a road rage incident in Dallas.

But Judge Chika Anyiam lowered his bond last week, from $2 million to $500,000. His lawyer posted bond and Guerrero was scheduled to be released.

But today, following criticism, the judge raised the murder bond to $600,000.

Dallas police chief Eddie Garcia says lowering the bond to begin with was irresponsible.

"It was reckless, irresponsible and not appropriate. These are reckless decisions that endanger our community," Garcia said.

Guerrero's attorney Tom Cox has given the judge $5,000 in campaign contributions since 2015 according to finance reports. That led some to suggest her lowering the bond was unethical.

Guerrero has not yet been released.
