Kaufman County investigators are looking for a man they call a person of interest in an animal abandonment case.
A witness called deputies to say a man in a red Dodge pick-up was trying to abandon two dogs near the witness's home.
The dogs were found about an hour later and taken to the Kaufman County Animal Shelter.
Investigators are circulating a photograph of their person of interest hoping he will contact them or, failing that, hoping for tips from people who know him.
