Keller ISD to end virtual learning next month

KELLER (1080 KRLD) - Virtual learning is coming to an end in the Keller ISD next month.

Amid a spike in the Delta variant and a lack of a vaccine approved for kids, the district had offered virtual learning for kids kindergarten through sixth grade on a temporary basis.

"With COVID-19 cases currently decreasing in Keller ISD and with discussions that a vaccine may be available for children under the age of 12 toward the end of the year, the District plans to end the VLO on November 19, with the plan to welcome current VLO students back to campuses on November 29," the Keller ISD said in a statement posted on its website.

Virtual lessons will stop on November 12th, and the following week will be a transition week to allow kids to visit their schools and meet their teachers just before the fall break.
