Keller ISD trustees are considering a proposal to allow teachers to carry handguns on campus, the school board talked about it last night.
Under the proposal, school district employees may be allowed to carry guns in schools, at meetings and at school events. A number of people spoke to both sides of the issue but there was no vote on the gun proposal last night.
However, trustees did vote to add the term "gender fluidity" to a list of topics banned from library books and other instructional materials.
The guideline list also include topics like profanity, horror, drug use and explicit sex.
