A man accused of reckless driving is now locked up after avoiding police in at least two Tarrant County cities for weeks.
Police say Hunter Hardin has been terrorizing Lake Worth and other communities across Northwest Tarrant County.
White Settlement police found Hardin driving a stolen Mustang two days in a row, but by driving in a dangerous and reckless manner he avoided arrest because officers decided a chase at those speeds was too dangerous to innocent drivers and pedestrians.
But they got information about the car out to other police departments. And on Wednesday the suspect's Mustang was found parked in front of a Lake Worth home.
Police surrounded the house but Hardin refused to come out. So, officers released a police dog who sniffed him out hiding in a closet.
