DENTON, TX (1080 KRLD) - A Denton landlord who was captured on video threatening a tenant with a gun has been arrested.
Denton officers were called to a home on Scripture St. twice on September 9th on reports of a dispute between a tenant and a landlord living in the same home.
The landlord, Phillip Young, 68, told police that the tenant was trying to use the kitchen without paying for kitchen privileges.
The first time, police left without taking anyone into custody
But they returned hours later after the tenant reported that Young had threatened him with a gun -- and the tenant got it on video.
The tenant told officers he did not wish to press charges, but the case was referred to detectives.
Police say while Young told officers at the scene he was not going to shoot the tenant, he admitted in an email on Monday that the thought indeed crossed his mind.
Young was arrested Wednesday morning without incident, and he's charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon-family violence.
