The Everman Police Department held a press conference to provide the media with an update on the 6-year-old boy who's been missing since November.
The search for 6-year-old Noel Rodriguez-Alvarez continues.
A large-scale search in Everman that included 50 people from Texas Search and Rescue was held over the weekend for Noel Rodriguez-Alvarez.
"They're experts in searches for missing persons and recovery missions like this," said Everman Police Chief Craig Spencer, "so we're looking forward to utilizing their expertise."
The searches focused on a pair of areas identified through data analysis.
"We have identified a couple of potential areas that they may have access," said Spencer, "so we're looking at searching these areas ... with horseback, drones and cadaver dogs, as well as foot patrols through the search areas."
Noel was last seen in late November and is presumed to be dead.
His mother, Cindy Singh, and stepfather are believed to have fled to India with their other six children.
Spencer said the search for them continues as well.
"Still relying on the FBI to take care of that task for us," Spencer says, "and I know that they're on it."
