Police were called out to the Jefferson Unitarian Church in Fort Worth twice on Wednesday. They say a man was making threats to kill people and had several weapons.

The first call to the location came Wednesday morning. Someone discovered a dead dog at the location. Officers found a rifle nearby and multiple shell casings.

They were called back to the church that afternoon. They found a man with a firearm. Witnesses told police he had been making threatening statements about killing people.

Officers arrested 26-year-old Roman Collins. They say he was carrying a shotgun, a handgun and a knife. They found more weapons inside his truck. As a precaution, they called the Fort Worth Fire Department Arson/Bomb Unit to search the truck and the church.

Collins is charged with making a terroristic threat, cruelty to a non-livestock animal, and bringing a weapon to a place where they are prohibited.
