A man has died from his wounds after being shot outside a downtown Dallas convenience store Wednesday -- and the killer is still on the loose.

Just past 5:30 p.m., police got 911 calls about gunfire at the 7-Eleven near Ross and Griffin.

They arrived to find two men had been shot. One was already dead. The other was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

Police spent most of the evening on-scene gathering clues and talking to witnesses but, so far, they have not said why the men were shot nor who did it.
